Add Checkboxes to the Product Page, Cart Page, and Cart Drawer

How to add agreement checkboxes to the product page, cart page, and cart drawer with Checkbox Assistant: configure the checkbox, then verify the display and adjust styles in the Theme Editor.

To add checkboxes to the product page, cart page, and cart drawer, first configure the checkbox in the app, then verify the display and adjust styles in the Theme Editor.

1. Open the checkbox setup screen

From the setup guide on the app home, click “Set up the checkbox”.

2. Configure the checkbox

Fill in the required fields on the screen. The points below are the ones that need extra explanation.

Theme

💡 If your current theme is not listed, select Default.

If Default doesn’t work, click “If it doesn’t work as expected,” copy the inquiry template, enter your theme and collaborator request code, and contact us via the chat at the bottom right.

Language settings

💡 Available on Starter plan and above.

Starter plan: up to 2 languages.

Advanced plan and above: up to 20 languages.

Checkbox type

💡 If you want to display multiple checkboxes, select Group mode.

Group mode is available on Advanced plan and above.

Display conditions

💡 You can control display conditions by product, variant, product tags, and customer tags.

Available on Starter plan and above.

Common settings

💡 Items in Common settings are available on Starter plan and above.

Save the date/time of agreement to terms

💡 This works only when the purchase flows through the cart. Due to Shopify specifications, if a customer purchases via “Buy Now,” the agreement timestamp will not be saved.

The click timestamp will be saved in the following section.

Hide Express Checkout buttons

When the checkbox is unchecked, this hides Express Checkout buttons such as PayPal, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.

Click Save when configuration is complete

3. Verify in the Theme Editor and adjust styles

Product page

💡 On the product page, the “Buy Now” button’s alert message cannot be checked within the Theme Editor. Please verify on the actual storefront.

Cart drawer

Additionally, please verify behavior according to the conditions you configured, such as display conditions and multilingual settings. If it does not work as expected, contact us via the chat at the bottom right of the app screen.
